I got the Eddie Bauer Genius Belt this year and am liking it so far. It is low profile and has some stretch to it.

I use a cheap nylon belt I got from REI. Plastic buckle and doesn't soak up sweat which is nice.

Bought the eb genius. Maybe good for somethings but not for me. Usually have one or more hang ons, phone case 1911 edc knife, last thing wanted is streatch my 5.11 nylon belts 1 3/4" hold up my britches no matter the load .

That looks similar to the Black Ovis Anchor Point Belt I use. They are on Camofire quite frequently for around $12. I wish they had a brown color though; only black and grey available that I've seen. I may have to try out the cabelas version.

They are frequently on sale at Cabelas too... I think I paid like 14.99 for mine. Works great

OP wants a belt for wearing with a pack correct ? A thin light belt is what you want with minimal hardware. I've used a Bison under my pack and it chewed me up ! Those Black Ovis belts have too much hardware from the picture imo. That kickstarter belt looks interesting but anything with heavy duty buckles or with enough body stiffness hold knives and other tools is not what you want under your pack.

Shrek,

I agree. The first kickstarter is the one that I think will probably be the best for under a pack. The material seems very similar to the construction of the Genius belt with enough elastic to keep pants up without having to constantly tighten the belt. And, the plastic buckles they are proposing should actually be a little less obtrusive compared to the Genius belt. Anyway, I agree that a belt I'm looking for should do nothing more than keep my pants from creeping down but the belt should do this well.
