I’ve been running a drop holster to carry my side arm while in the backcountry for the past few years. I have traditionally used a leather belt or cheap nylon belt. I feel there has to be something better. For those running drop holsters, what belt are you using that’s comfortable and can hold the weight of loaded sidearm?

I tried a few different ones and now love using the First Lite suspenders with a thin nylon belt.

The suspenders are king for carrying on your hip in my opinion. They carry the bulk of the weight so I don't have to wear a thick belt cinched super tight. Otherwise, inevitably I was having one side of my pants sag, which is no fun dealing with all day.

Suspenders!

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll give suspenders a try this year.

I buy Hanks gunbelts, love my drop legs. The guys at camp make fun of me, but it keeps things out of the way on stand. Hey, they make fun of my charcoal face too.
