What shafts are all you elk hunters shooting? I have 29" draw with a draw weight of 65lbs. What are your thoughts?

Here is a little info on them. I buy bare shafts, spine test them and fletch with cock vane down the spine using 1 jig. Unbelievable arrow.

I am using Axis 300 @28.5" long with 2" blazers, 50 brass inserts and a 100 grain. Wacem broadhead, 490 grains total.

I'm shooting 430 grain Gold Tip Velocity XTs. Only 55 pounds, 29.675 draw, QAD Exodus broadheads, and 42gr inserts. I love Gold Tip arrows, for some reason I shoot them better than any others I have tried.

Using Easton Axis 340's @ 27.5 shaft length with a 125grain Qad Exodus or Magnus Stinger and Blazer vanes. They are weighing in at 445 grns.

Getting 280 fps out of a Prime Alloy @ 70# draw and 27.5 draw length.

Huge fan of the Black Eagle Outlaws with the brass insert. They're not a small diameter shaft but priced at $68 per dozen. Very tough arrow. You'll be looking at a mid 400gr arrow with your setup.
