What are your Rockslide pet-peeves?

Target sells ammunition?

We used to grab an extra couple boxes of ammo at the K Mart in South Lake Tahoe before hunts/shoots. Before online ammo buying was a thing.

Can’t ever recall Target doing that but Walmart and Kmart did.

For sure. I remember when the 4 pack of 25ct 12ga and 20ga low brass crap was $19.99. We used to bring those to pheasant tower hunts.

The running of any and all things unless it’s your own ass on a treadmill. Well, or a trap line I guess…

I'm doing it now.

My wife just asked me why I came to bed so late and I said "I was running all that 22 Creedmoor brass last night."

Just slipped right out...

My pet peeve is when people say, "when viewed in large data sets," but wont provide or link to the data.

It's just a tease. Some of us really want to see the data!

My pet peeve is when someone asks a question about a subject already covered on Rokslide. Then members jump down their throat telling them to “use the search function! That topic has already been discussed!”

So you use the search function and find the threads that already discuss the subject. Then you ask a legitimate question in the thread you were TOLD TO LOOK FOR and get scolded for “resurrecting old threads” by the same members! Ridiculous.

It’s super easy to scroll past threads you don’t want to read. It really is that simple.

This is America, learn how to communicate in English.

"If the Salesmen are paying your Tax Stamp. And still saleing the product at the Same Price. They are getting prepared for what's about to happen.

Suppressors saleing for what the rest of the World is saleing them fo

Took me a second.

I think y'all completely missing the target of the joke, or the joke about target.
Swampy nails it now and then.

And sometimes she even realizes it. :)

Depends on the context a bit, but I don't think most people have any issue with bumping old threads. I'd say that's preferable to starting a new one for the most part.

I do get tired of people not using the search function, but I will say if you're looking for a certain thread or item the search function is pretty much useless.

I'll give a couple examples:
Maybe a week prior you saw a marsupial harness you are now interested in and didn't, "Watch" the item. the search function is virtually useless when you Search for "Marsupial Medium Harness" you get pages and pages of talked about threads and or old listings, only to not turn up the exact listing.

Second example. One thread was talking about Forms "Hunter Drill" I tried searching for the "hunter drill" to find the exact details for a long time, maybe 20ish minutes, and didn't find the specific thread because the title of the thread has nothing to do with "Hunter Drill" and if you search Forms posts, there are so many it's impossible to go through. I eventually found the thread but it wasn't easy with the search function.

If you are searching the harness in the classifieds, make sure you limit the search to the correct forum. That will eliminate it searching all of Rokslide. Go into the classifieds, use the search function and where it says “Everywhere” change that to “This Forum.”

If you have an idea of when it was posted, you can use the advanced search and narrow down the dates the thread would have been created between.

Same with searching for something a specific member said. Make sure you put them in the “By” category of the search.

Advanced Search > Search Threads, toggle “Search Title Only” if you want, select a forum or subforum, sort by date, etc.

Or use Google to search, “site:Rokslide.com __(query)__” and some of the other Google search function options (using quotations to search specific phrases, date constraints, etc).

The “Hunter drill” is one that’s a little tough to find because it’s called so many different things and agree that the title of that thread isn’t particularly helpful for finding it.
