What are you shooting in your Sig Cross 6.5 Creedmoor?

Hi fellow Roksliders,

My wife won a 6.5 creedmoor sig cross. I am in the process of getting it setup and am curious what you guys have been running for ammo/loads? I am thinking I will start with box ammo to see how it shoots possibly some Hornady ELDX or ELDM. What kind of results have you guys had with box ammo? May end up reloading for it in the future curious what load recipe you have had good luck with? Also how has COAL been with the magazine have you been able to get close to the lands or have you run out of mag length?

142smk and Stabal6.5. I think I'm at 39gr with Peterson SRP and CCI450. Good ES and been working well out to 850

factory 143 eldx shot well in my wife’s 6.5 cross. Well under a MOA for 5 shot groups. I’m going to hand load for it soon.

factory ELDX shot under an inch first day out with it. Trying to replicate it with reloads. Guy off Backfire TV uses this recipe.
COAL 2.78". 41.2 grains of H4350.
I hear this was also very close to the old recipe that was written on the ELDX box before they had to switch due to limited supply of powder. I loaded up a handful but at 2.80' since that is what my factory rounds measured out to. Not great results. Will try a few more powder charges and lengths now. I am pretty green at reloading so might take me a while to dial it in. I hear good things about the factory ELDM's in 147 for the sig.

I ran 143 eldx out to mag length with 42.2 H4350. The Sig 130 ammo shot extremely well. 147 hornady factory shot 0.75" for 5. Almost everything I've shot has been great except for the 95 grain varmit stuff..

Hunting buddy has one, shoots .5-.75 MOA at 200yds with 147gr ELDM handloads, MV ~2580 if I recall.

Mine has shot both the 147 ELDM and Sierra 140 TGK very well. Not as good of results with Barnes 120 TTSX for whatever that’s worth (nothing really every barrel is different).
