What are you drooling over?

I'm randomly looking at a Ruger M77 MKII Stainless with the boat paddle stock in 7mm Rem Mag and a Remington 141 Gamemaster in .35 Rem. I don't have an immediate use for them, just think they are cool. I would like to do a float hunt in Alaska with the M77 someday.

I'm also into collecting military surplus, so I'm more seriously keeping my eye out for a Saginaw S'G' M1 Carbine (manufactured in Grand Rapids) and a pre-war Mas 36
My buddies got one in his closet for the last 25 years. He shot it 3 times then made me finish sighting it in. Worst kicking gun I’ve ever shot. And I used a super light New England firearms 12 gauge shooting 3.5” mag heavy shot Turkey loads and a 300 rum without a brake

Short light 9.3 is gonna have some oomph on your end, it might not be a fire breathing dragon but a 286gr bullet is still a 286gr bullet

Not oomph as in bullet energy oomph as in recoil, 6.8 lb 9.3 is gonna hit you pretty good
It’s mild in a semi auto and hoping to find out in a bolt action. Waiting and hoping Ruger comes out with the lefty that Lipseys says is coming. But I’m gonna sight it in initially off the bench and then never shoot it sitting again.

In my younger days I won the wife lottery.

This OIL lady gifted me a Bison hunt for my upcoming 60th bday.

I have decided that I want to do this hunt with an original Winchester lever gun 45-70 or 45-90
Been lusting for one for years. Now I have a good excuse.

I have been studying, learning, and watching all of the info that I can soak in.
Narrowed it down to a Winchester 1886 with full octagon barrel, in as original condition as possible

Now I have started looking at for sale ads, and auction listings.
I will probably make a run at buying one in the next couple of weeks.

So cool that these 130yr old rifles are still out there and in shootable condition

Brought this hammer home today.

Winchester 1886 45-70-405
Mfg 1892

There is just enough not factory original to make this a shooter grade.

Turned out to be pretty good bison medicine

My one buddy has a Siamese Mauser action with a .45-70 barrel on it. I'm currently trying to get him to finish stocking it then sell it to me.

I’ve been looking at the Sauer 100 on EuroOptic for months. My Ruger American has been such a headache to use that it doesn’t get out of the house at all anymore. My brother has been trying to bully me into buying it, but still hasn’t gotten me to do it.
