That a wildlife officer randomly walks right through the spot where you left a bedded muley buck that you had been stalking all morning and had intended to circle around and come in from another angle later in the afternoon in a 200k acre area that is closed to the general public?

"randomly"?? Maybe he saw the buck, and what's a wildlife officer doing on private land?

To calculate the odds: take the size of the buck (bigger buck = much higher odds), how remote (more remote = much higher odds) and number of people in the area (fewer people = much higher odds). If it was a big buck, odds are 74.24%, +-0.01%. You're welcome.

What a bummer! Hope you find that buck again.

Goverment facility, closed to the public but they have a hunting season. Next time I'll be making sure I bring my lunch with me. But come on! That was probably the only "hike" he did that day.
