Front and side stabilizers. I've always been a fan of raw dogging it, but I have heard they are a game changer; especially if you run a heavier sight.

Massive difference, especially at longer distances.

I live my archery life along the path of Pinky and The Brain.

Every offseason I shoot a couple hundred Vegas rounds to clean up any bad habits, I get new strings put on my hunting bow. I curse myself for selling last years bow and upgrading, I build 2-3 dozen of the exact same setup I’ve run for years. I give beginner archers whatever I have leftover from last year. I build a tape sometime mid summer for the hunting bow. Notch my tags and repeat.

Eh. Nothing this year.... unless you count a bunch of dry fire drills with the grizzer bear pistola.

Not much, but I’m shooting a new bow, new arrow setup, pretty much different everything this year. I have been shooting a nexus 4 the past couple years, with a quivalizer… this year I’m shooting a lift with their overpriced accessories. It’s the first mathews I’ve really liked since the chill r.

I will be switching the QAD for an epsilon, but besides that, nothing will change. I’m shooting a fixed 5 pin (custom mbg with all green pins, 20/30 .019, 40/50/60 .010… all green.

I’m shooting altra centrum 166’s, and I’m back to my favorite head as my primary (GK xl) i will also have a few mechs in the quiver that I probably won’t shoot. I’m thinking the T2, but also have some glue in Hyde’s, beasts, and reaper pro 1 3/8”, so I have options

I ditched the onnex click, and have a like mike 2, but also have a sole x click on order, whatever i decide as my favorite I will buy a second one as a backup

Arrow weight is going to be similar, I think my current is 508gr. Nothing too crazy, it was just time for a new bow, I don’t like a big valley like the nexus had

No real rabbit holes, but plenty of change. I’m hoping i keep liking the lift and keep it a few years, because I do better with familiar gear. I have a hard time keeping bows.

Since I bought the rytera alien x in 2009 and used it for 5 years, the longest I’ve kept a bow was 3 years (Mach 1) but besides that it’s been 1-2 years… I want to just be happy with what I have and keep it for several years.

I threaten going back to a biscuit pretty often, as uncool as they are, I still appreciate the simplicity. They are all I shot for years and never had issues…, of any kind. Can’t use one on the lift regardless, but I won’t be surprised if I have one on my bow again in the future

I was planning on picking up a drop away but with an upcoming Ek hunt I think the biscuit is still the best.

I decided to lighten up my arrow setup and build a new dozen. Gonna try some White Water Archery New Ground 204s and see how they treat me. Trying to decide what vanes I want to use. I was gonna go with the Iron Wills but man they just seem really heavy and I don’t think I need that much stability for my Sevrs even though I will have an iron will or two in the quiver.

Building a lighter arrow setup to gain some more velocity. I shoot a heavy bow (75lbs) but I've got a short draw length, 26.5" and have finally got a setup in the 280fps range. I just want flatter trajectory.

Setup that I'll be running this year is Easton 5.0, 25gr HIT insert, 25gr collar, 100gr tip (SEVR), 3 fletch AAE max. TAW is right around 410 grains, with 13.8% FOC.

Last years setup was RIP TKO coming in around 444gr.

Bowfishing! It’s a ton of fun and I’m down the rabbit hole even though I just started this year. I’ve set up 3 bows and I’m building fish arrows. Setting up the boat lights was a project too.

I just put Trophy Ridge V-Con triangular biscuits on both my Elk and Whitetail setups. Less vane contact than traditional biscuits, but still full capture. Very consistent arrow flight.

I'm working on 3. Increased draw weight, new sight and lighter arrows.
My hunting bow was a 60# max, but the bow tech tuned it up to 62. My target bow is 65# and I'm going to have it increased also. (Or maybe look at a new 60-70#)

Purchased used MBG Dual Trac Pro and I love it. I think my tape is still off a yard or two, so I'll keep working with it.

I was shooting a 490g arrow at 235 fps and had a buck jump the shot last year. Still working on the arrow build to see how light I want to go. Trying to find the balance with speed and penetration.

The list of rabbit trails I've been on this season definitely expanded a bit. Aside from tearing down a bow, briefly trying out peeps (quickly realizing I like what I have), and testing stabilizers....I'm now working on less fletching offset/helical for broadhead tuning (going away from max helical on the AZ EZ Fletch). Also, now testing out my darn rangefinder on steep and longer distance shots. Based on what I heard from Leupold CS, my rangefinder (bow mode) is doing some ballistics compensation stuff behind the scenes which I've mostly ignored up until recently.
