What age is this buck

Sagging back, hanging belly, defined brisket, looks big. Then hes got that light rack.

Body says older, light rack says younger.

You have any diff angles?

4.5 or older. Not every buck that reaches maturity is going to have impressive headgear, especially here in Appalachia

Looks like a 2.5 YO or a 3.5 with less than ideal genetics.
Nice buck, but by 3.5 an 8 pt will usually have more mass than that, along with more pronounced brow times.

maybe older and regressing or just poor genetics for antler growth. Looks healthy and a nice size body on him.

I'd bet the bank on him being a fully mature deer with a less that stellar set of headgear. 2 and 3 year olds don't have that kind of body on them.

This. Between his gut and the sag in his back, I'd bet on him being at least 6 1/2. Going by headgear doesn't work.

A neighbor had pics of this buck going back 6 years, and he wasn't a monster by any means. He had some distinctive white markings on his legs just above his hooves.
