WEZ hit rates.

Your 108 ELDM load at 1.5 MOA at 600 yards on a deer

Your 112 MB load at 2.5 MOA even though it’s 200fps faster

The 112 load came up at 60% hit rate until I changed the precision from 1.5 to 2.5
I am a bit confused, did those show a 43% first round hit probability for both loads? That doesn't make sense at 1.5 and 2.5 MOA. What am I reading wrong?

Higher BC and going 200fps faster makes up for the lack of precision.

If they had equal precision at 1.5 MOA it would have been a 60% hit rate.

Simple hit probability doesn’t tell the whole story. There is more information to be extracted from those POI plots, and not all misses are equal. It may be that both loads happen to result in 43% of shots inside the target box, but the misses with the 112 load are generally much closer to POA. Based on those plots, I know which load I’d rather be shooting when looking at the dispersion outside of the box.

One picture is just zoomed in more than the other is all you’re seeing there.

I just shot my 3 main hunting rifles at 860 yards. The 7-300 NMI was first, which I was off a little on the wind, but stayed the same hold to see the group.

Then once I knew the wind, I shot the 22CM. Then the 6.5-7 PRC.

Basically there was a 5MPH left wind. 7-300 needed 2 MOA (I was only holding 1.5 MOA when I shot the group), 6.5-7 needed 2.5 MOA and 22 CM needed 3 MOA of wind.

Once I knew the wind relatively close, pretty easy to put them all around the bullseye. The 22CM has the same exact drop at 860 yards as my 7-300 NMI.

Can I ask when you’re gonna stop holding out and use mils like we do in the rest of the world? 😂

Hahahaha! I shot MIL for a couple years actually. Just was never sold on any of the combinations of scopes/reticles/weights/durability. When the 5-25X50 tenmile came out in FFP, I really liked the specs and reticle, but it was only in MOA, I bought one to test out. I really liked it, so just switched my main hunting rifles to that scope, and back to MOA.

Neither system is complicated at all to me. Range, dial, hold wind, shoot. They both work exactly the same in my personal experience. When a scope comes out in MIL that interests me, I'll switch back over lol.

Agreed, but I think the S2H*?* scope coming out as a 3-18 with decent glass and drop proof internals at sub 25oz might just be the push I need to convert.

The S2H tenmile? Sure sounds like that’s what ended up happening which I think is great.

I haven’t kept up on the S2H scope. But if it ended up being a 3-18 Tenmile with a better reticle and more crisp elevation turret, it’d absolutely be a winner.

That's what I got out of it too!

Sounds like Tenmile with THLR reticle. That might take some adapting for me personally, but if it has the center dot like the Triji reticles, I'll give it a try. I've grown to absolutely love that thing.
