Oh sweet Jesus. Under what circumstances?180 ELDM at 3250 fps.![]()
It’ll beat the 195, because they both normally true up around .38 G7

That, my son, is what we call a long range bomber! How about a 195 Berger at 3176fps for a hit rate. Anyone want to compare it to anything? Lol

Holy shit! What cartridge can push one at that speed? That’s faster than a 33XC lolI’ll leave this here.300 grain ATip.View attachment 928418

Sweet Jesus
That is a 33XC. 132 grains of RL50 and a 32” barrel. This isn’t going to be a hunting rig. It weighs 18+ # with an Atlas CAL and SiCo Hybrid suppressor attached. Going to attempt 2200 yards at Raton when I get a load developed for it.
That load did have a slight ejector swipe but the bolt lift was easy and no clicker at the top. But for these initial loads, I’m backing down to 130 grains at 3255fps.Sweet Jesus. What speed will you actually run it at you think? 3300 has to be pushing the top end for a 32”?
At 7 yards you have a 3% hit rate and 1% actual recovery rateCan anyone run these simulations for a 605 grain arrow out of a recurve where the shooter has really bad target panic?
Asking for a friend...
Your 108 ELDM load at 1.5 MOA at 600 yards on a deer@huntnful @Formidilosus with the difference between .5 moa and 1.5 being negligible, what is the difference between 1.5 and 2.5 moa system? I assume a lot more of a drop off?
I have had poor luck with velocities with the last lot I got of factory 108 ELDM (around 2800 even with a 24in barrel) However it shoots 1.25-1.5 10 shot groups for me and SDs are low teens..
So I picked up a box of Barnes precision 112 Match burners and I'm getting 3020 fps (same 24in barrel) with SDs in the high teens. However the tradeoff was a 2.5 moa 10 shot group. The extra speed and high BC is intriguing but 2.5 moa not great. Curious how much it truly matters.

Well thank you for that. Interesting that it's a essentially a wash at 43% unless I'm reading that incorrectly?Your 108 ELDM load at 1.5 MOA at 600 yards on a deer

Your 112 MB load at 2.5 MOA even though it’s 200fps faster

The 112 load came up at 60% hit rate until I changed the precision from 1.5 to 2.5

You’re reading it correctly. The increased speed but less precise load, is a wash with the slower more precise load.Well thank you for that. Interesting that it's an essentially a wash at 43% unless I'm reading that incorrectly?
My PVA .68 taperless 24 in 7twThere is a relatively large drop off from 1.5 to 2.5 MOA on an 8” target… but not as large as people would think as @huntnful showed.
However- what rifle is shooting the Narnes 112hr at 2.5 MOA? All that I have seen is very good precision with it.

Unfortunately only shooting factory ammo, the velocities and high bc is tempting but yea it doesn't seem to be a good fit and I still have a lot of eldm left. . I do have another 6cm barrel on the way for another rifle so hoping it may work with that setupI would not use the 112s in your rifle or tweak load more. They have always done well 10k off lands and then again with a decent amount of jump 50-70 off.
Try the Berger 108 elite hunter ammo if you have access, it's done me well in a few rifles.Unfortunately only shooting factory ammo, the velocities and high bc is tempting but yea it doesn't seem to be a good fit and I still have a lot of eldm left. . I overlayed the 2 5 shots strings to get 2.5 as it was same POA
