I think I am going to start around 5:15 to 5:30 tonight. Depending on how long the oil change takes on my truck.

All you gents with no kiddos and all the time in the world to train! Enjoy it while you can! I throw mine in the kids carrier and go for a walk. Keep up the good work!

Haha, I wouldn't say all the time in the world. I just make it a priority. After I mowed the front and back yard I was able to squeeze in a Mt. Peak run as it got dark. Then after I got home and did other chores it was 10:30 when I finished folding my 4th load of laundry. Up at 4 A.M. to do it all over again! Once I have kids I don't know what the hell I am going to do!

Call it excuses if you want. I get home at 6:00, and my son goes to bed at 8:30. That's 2.5 hours to eat dinner, help my son with his homework, go for a hike, and try and spend some quality time with the family. The hike takes about an hour and a quarter by the time I drive to Peak, hike up and back down, then drive home. God forbid I have an errand to run. When your kids get older and have homework and start playing sports, you'll understand.

Anyone who is interested in a challenging trail run that's not too expensive and local give a look here. Its not a very busy one either which is a nice change of pace from the 100+ starting crowds.

I did it last year and it was a blast. There is some elevation change in the race & training on peak benefited me. Its a good motivator! I'm pretty sure I am doing it again this year.
