my son, son-in-law, and myself also went on the guided hunt. They are a good outfit. Hard working guides. Good horses to ride. Any particular questions just ask.

We seen elk but not everyday. Keep in mind that by second rifle the elk had already been pressured from archery and muzzleloader in September and first rifle in October. That being said I saw about 20 head the first day, just too far for a shot. Third day of hunt my son was fortunate enough to harvest a 5x5 bull that was with a dozen or so cows. On the fourth evening my guide and I spotted 2 bulls up high but a good half mile away, to late for a stalk. Last morning my son-in-law and his guide made a play for them but could not close the deal. The elk are there but they stay in that heavy timber for the most part. Be in shape as it is rugged and steep where the elk hide. If you can do it, the guides and horses sure can.

Food was great. Lodging was in primitive cabin. Wood heat with a electric heater in bedrooms. No running water but plenty of bottled water supplied. Wood supplied also. Did have electricity. Shower was at nearby lodge that owner of lodge was also one of the guides. Food was served at ranch in heated outfitters tent. Get there at 5am for breakfast, saddle up at 5:30. Up mountain through timber in the dark to hunting areas. Whole staff was friendly and helpful. Not fancy but we were there to hunt. Felt we got our monies worth. Oh outhouse for bathroom. Lol. Least it had a light in it. Turn on from cabin. Cabin was completely furnished with just about all you would need.

Best Outfitter line this year. " We don't serve a big breakfast, just oatmeal or Cereal. We don't need our clients needing to take a crap after hiking in right at shooting light..."
