It has somewhat become a tradition for us to take a river bath on the way home from a September elk hunt. We've bathed in the Colorado, the Missouri, the Yellowstone, the North Platte, and some others. Usually at public boat ramps. Certainly get some strange looks.

That might work as well as telling everyone you run into that you haven’t seen any deer or elk but took a couple “sound shots” into the brush this morning but didn’t see anything come out. I know I’ve posted before but I want to do that so bad just don’t think I could keep a straight face.
My uncle, 79 years old now, sometimes jobs is in deer camp. He wears an old school joker hats with bells. Anyone who stops by camp and talks to him hard some sort of story about him making sound shots.

He doesn't hunt anymore. Just likes to hang out in camp with the boys.

Driveline crappers???
Going to the bathroom in all sorts of curious ways and locations on the side of the freeway. And they have been eating truck stop food....

Piss bottles everywhere. Sometimes getting thrown at me or other drivers.

Raping sheep, goats... sometimes dressed as women. I mean, hilarious at the time and quite disturbing. But I can not unsee some things.

Some were very clean and tidy. But the great majority were just nasty.

The middle eastern dudes just cut a hole in the sleeper floor and let it fly on top on the transmission & drivelines.

No body will work on there trucks or inspect them.

I was hunting in AZ a couple months ago. My wifes grandparents are staying in a town about halfway between my house and the unit, so I drove there and stayed the night. I was on day 9 on the way back and I called them to let them know I was headed their way and would be in late. In the background, I hear the grandma say "ask him if he is going to want to shower when he gets here?" There is a pause and I respond "YOU are going to want me to shower when I get there. I personally do not care."

I have done a wet wipe shower in a bathroom stall at the Phoenix airport. That one was at the request of my wife as she would be sitting next to me during the flight.

Hunters can be just as bad. There is a Forest Service flush toilet building located in a pullout off a 2-lane paved road. It isn't far from Boise, and it is on the way back from a popular unit. A few years ago and before elk season ended that year, the Forest Service locked the bathroom doors for the winter. There were well over 100 piles scattered all around the perimeter of the building, mostly on the concrete walk path.

Omg... I'm glad it never had to deal with that.

I heard that from someone else years ago and thought they were full of shit. Sounds like it’s more common than I thought

You can rent a truck stop shower stall - they are clean, have fresh towels, a sink and mirror to shave, and some provide soap and shampoo. I don't see the need to use the bathroom sink other than to wash my hands.

In my line of work we share a lot of areas with trucks, and the amount of bottles filled with piss we see is insane. I mean, I get it. If you have to pee you're not going to stop all the time and I've got no issue with you using a bottle. But can't you just throw it away when you reach your destination? Even if you dump it out somewhere first?
