January?
Any of you OP'ers shoot at Shawnee Mission Park?
I was going to suggest that as well. Could even do something the next day if people wanted to get together to check out other's gear.
I used to shoot at SMP but its been a couple years. Powder Creek has a decent set up with 3D targets and a small elevated stand but it's more expensive. Free with an annual ~$125 membership to the gun club otherwise I believe it's $10-$15/day for non members.
I work downtown and was going to try to find somewhere relatively close that I could shoot over lunch. Just one of those things on the to do list that I haven't got to yet.
I think a great meetup would be at the KC RMEF banquet Mar 5th . I'll talk Aron into donating something good. Rokslide sponsors have been good to the KC RMEF chapter.
I was just researching RMEF KC last week, put an alert on my calendar to get tickets.
What's the membership like? I've done the Quail Unlimited thing, and honestly couldn't get along with the old stuffy single malt know it all Filson types. Are there many archery DIY backpacker folks in attendance?

I know exactly what you mean, the KC membership is very diverse and mostly laid back and easy going. I'm the chair of the KC chapter and feel we have a good blend between experienced long term guys and new upcoming guys.
Ticket prices will be reduced this year now that we are not required to collect membership dues for people attending. We usually have one raffle that is around $40 a ticket with a very limited number of tickets sold, usually we use a deck of cards etc. not sure what all we'll have this year as the planning is just getting started and merchandise ordered.
We will have a Garmin Rhino with onyx maps cert for sure.
Kifaru, TAG game bags, Enlightened Equipment, FHF Gear and Heads Up Decoy have donated goods in the past.
