Waypoint 2020 300 win mag?

Does anyone have a springfield waypoint in 300 wii. mag? Curious as to the latitude it provides or may provide for seating bullets at a little longer depth? Looks like a AICS detachable mag?

Never owned a 300 win mag but I have opportunity to pick this rifle up at a price I almost can’t say no to. This would be the 24” carbon barrel version.

Going from memory but my 300 PRC Waypoint was 3.850" COAL limit. I assume the mags are the same since they are the same action length.

It's the standard non-CIP magnum 3.715" mags. My buddy has the 300WM and I have the 7mmRM. 3.600" max COAL in a steel magazine. Both of us run under 3.500" COAL with ~0.020-0.050" jump using Accubond and Accubond long range.

The action is cut for CIP mags for the 300PRC, so you can change the bottom metal or stock/chassis for a CIP variant without issue. I run an HNT26 with CIP mags.

BTW, you're gonna laugh at how enjoyable it is to shoot such a large cartridge. Big boom, but the system handles recoil extremely well for a factory rifle.
