I've seen some videos and discussions about waxing your pants with beeswax/paraffin blends. What material is susceptible to this treatment? Is it only cotton? What about nylon or poly? What kind of pants have you waxed?

Look up the material on the Filson website on their waxed canvas clothing. They were probably the original manufacturer, and the most recognizable.

I have only waxed pants that were already waxed. I think any cotton can be waxed. It’s a simple process, buy a wax from filson or otter. Rub it on, then heat with a hair dryer to get it to melt in. Wipe any excess off. While I like how brush proof my filson pants are, they are hot and clammy. Waxed cotton does not breathe.
