Had sunshine 🌞 all day long. About 8pm, this boiled up! Rain, lightning, thunder ⛈️ and some pea sized hail!
Blew over in about 30 minutes.
All is well now!
Growing up, I always wanted a place to fish close to the house.
We had an older pond that held about half an acre. My neighbor asked if he could patch up the damage.
It's now about 3 acres!20260424_074755.jpg

Thanks
Beautiful area and pictures
The pictures? Well, that's the phone! Not me!
The area?
In the spring, the place isn't bad. The heat 🥵 of summer and winter blasts 🥶? It's a whole new ball game!
Summer time temps can get over 100°. In August, all that green turns brown, all the winds die and the air turns red.
Winter time we get blasts down off of the plains that will chill you to the bone! Snow and ice and the occasional blizzard. Those 30 and 40 mph north winds will take your breath away.
So...yes, the area does have it's beauty, but just like anywhere else, it's has it's own ugly!

Note:
In the summer of 2011, we had 88 days of 100°+ temps.
We had 49 consecutive days of 100°+ temps.
We had 13 days of 110°+ temps with a high of 117°!
The local reservoir dropped to 20% of capacity!
Deer died. Does abandoned their fawns because they couldn't nurse them AND survive.
