Waterproof Gear totes

I've been using rubber made totes to carry gear on extended hunts. I'd like to find some more durable, and maybe even water proof for the times when I don't have the topper on my truck. Any suggestions.

I use the husky rolling totes

If I had to go with pure waterproof I would look at the roam, or the pelican large cases.

Maybe dry bags in what you have?
I have bought some of those huge zip lock bags for spare clothes, pillows etc. You suck the air out of them, have a zip lock seal. Seem like they would repel water maybe short of tossing them in the creek.

They also have places to strap them down that won’t let the strap slide off. Not sure how water proof they are as I typically end up throwing a tarp over the truck bed when heading out west but they should keep a moderate rain out. They are a heavier plastic than the cheep Walmart ones that the lids don’t stay on.

I had a mouse get into my food tote. Thinking about something like this for my next hunt. They have a few different ones that say waterproof. Something dust proof should also keep rain out.

80 down the highway in the rain? Usually.

No hesitation whatsoever about water getting in. I wouldnt drag them with a rope up the yukon but for everything else theyre great. Corners of lids have cutouts for feet to index so they stack well too.

They come in a few different sizes. So you can load them the way you want, stack them if needed, strap down. I'm pretty sure there's holes you could run a security cable through to help prevent them from walking off.

I have purchased darn near every tote there is on planet earth... and most of them are garbage. In particular, the ones made of polypropylene tend to shatter/explode when it gets cold.

The best I have found:

Old-school metal ammo cans for smaller stuff

These are made of polyethylene and are bomber in the cold/heat, etc. They are also easy to clean. They have cam locks and keep stuff dry. I haven't tried them at 80 mph in a downpour... but I expect they do pretty well. You could also put a thin gasket on the underside of the lid if need be.

Can be bought with foam or padded inserts (most models) or many large suppliers will make custom inserts if desired.

I've used them for decades for camera gear, banging around in boats in rough water, in SUVs, without issue. They've even survived airline baggage handlers.

These work well. I unloaded my jeep and left it out for well over a week on accident through a good bit of rain. No water inside and everything was dry

I have four of these and they are well made and hold a decent amount of gear! I am extremely satisfied with these watertight gear totes.

I have three of these plano trunks. Two tend to stay at home and one is the go box and I just move gear between them depending on the trip. I'd recommend this one over the one with the piano hinge.

They don't come with a gasket, but you could easily put one into the lid. They've been waterproof just based on the lid design for me though. Stack easy and have spots for tie downs if you were going to run them on a roof rack or something. Can usually find them on sale too.
