Why no follow up shot? Risky to me especially on elk. I fully advocate shoot till it's down, seen plenty of "perfect" shot animals disappear. Glad it all worked out though.

We wanted him to shoot but he just couldn't get comfortable where he felt like he was going to hit the elk again.
