Warning, I am pissed off. There could be some bad language. The jewelry store called and confirmed their incompetence with regard to replacing my battery and effing up my watch again. It is my second one of this particular model. Casio replaced it once and now it has to be sent back again. Seriously, make these things idiot proof for me, and have it take double As for all I care. The model I had before this cost $60 to have just the batteries replaced. Here are the links.

I am looking for something big and rugged that I don't have to f*** with and at the beginning of the month it knows what the date is and I DO NOT have to send it in anywhere to replace the batteries nor take it somewhere. Oh, it has to be black and silver. Gold is for you old guys.

I love my Casio Pro-Trek (same as Pathfinder) ABC watch. And, as a bonus, it's solar powered and sets itself via the atomic clock :D

It can even have a USGI lensatic compass hanging off of the side of it. I want it so big my wife really gets mad when I whack her with it in my sleep.

This. Mine is the 1300. Silver and black. Solar charged. Atomic clock syncd. Mines digital. So really mindless ownership. I don't even need to know how to count hands and tell time.

I have some high ends but this is the only one not tossed into the back of my gun safe.

boom, I forgot to mention that I prefer the analog type and date only (IE: 3-24). Do you have any options like that?

Same boat Here - Don't get me started man ! I bought 3 SUUNTOs because they are the rage on most reviews and forums. They are junk (in my personal experience) - never again. And what pisses me off the most, is that so many people love them and have never had an issue. All of mine have been warrantied. I am bit by that company.

Get a Casio solar atomic G Shock and be done with it. Relatively inexpensive, durable and functional. The capacitor in mine lasted between 11-12 yrs before needing to be sent back to Casio for replacement.

I got an all black Casio the is exactly that. Bought it from Costco. Right around $100. Can't find it right at the moment. When I do. I'll post a pic. It's my backup. It did 100 miles backpack trip without a bump.

Casio is a solid watch for the money. I would spend a tad more and get a Suunto Vector. Mine's been with me on 3 continents, hell and high water, finally changed the case after 7 years, because I busted a bubble when I took a fall of my bike. Sorry to hear that some had negative experience, but we all get that once in a blue moon, no brand is 100% on quality.
