Most of the Salt water fishing will be closed down in November in the San Juans. You could get in on a Blacktail hunt on whatever island you will be staying on. Shotgun and Archery only on the islands. There may be some silver fishing going on the Skagit River at that time still as well as Winter Steelhead moving in.

The San Juan’s are pretty isolated. If you’ll be on the islands the whole time blacktail and duck hunting is about the only option. If you’ve got private property to hunt that is.

As far as fishing goes you could book a guide on a Forks river or the Skagit. Early in Nov is sort of between runs. The later in the month you get the better the fishing and the greater the chance the river blows out.

The clamming is excellent at least.

Next year visit for SuperBowl or the 4th :)
