Did a day trip last Sunday seen a good buck, few does, few goats, and a too close for comfort cow elk encounter, ill just say there breath reeks... No bears, but the berries were looking goooooood! Heavy packs guys, can't wait to hear about the trip!

Got the cheesecloth, two burner large cooker, 5 gallon pot, 12 quart jars and cutting board ready. Going to render out 12 quarts of lard if I get lucky again this year. Have just a bit left and it was worth the effort last year for sure. Can't wait to just get in the woods again with a tag in hand. Going to be a good Sept.

Dirtytough just sent me this pic of Mac-D from this week. He is looking good! His forks are a bit smaller this year than they were last year but he is still a stud Washington buck!
