Warning: Public lands and political wormholes

A big part of what's wrong with this country right now is people aren't allowed to have discussions about their views. So many are too sensitive to deal with someone disagreeing so censorship happens. I understand the forums reasons, but I don't like it here or anywhere else.
The problem is that people don't want to have discussions. They only want to scream out their opinion on why they are right, and everyone who disagrees is stupid. It's a vicious cycle.

I don't disagree with you and it won't be fixed here. However, I believe the fact people aren't allowed to discuss it anywhere just further divides. Not sure what the answer is but it sucks.

I'm a member of a regional shooting forum. It skews heavily to one side of the political spectrum. Currently, several members are engaged in a bitter & protracted discussion of economic policies that affect the furniture manufacturing industry.

Most notably, I think everyone in that thread is on the same political side. They're saying what they think the other side says, and then talking about how awful it is.

One of the best parts of Rokslide is that I don't have to sort through that junk to find the stuff I want to read.

It’s important to discuss issues that have an impact on hunting and wildlife but I also want a site to visit where I don’t have to hear any political stances, even the ones I agree with. I’m tired of it being injected everywhere and into every conversation.

Let em duke it out. My biggest gripe about forums is moderation. Let it devolve into chaos.
I love it when people show how emotional they can be. They tend to begin with facts and when their internal mechanism tells them they're not convincing others to see the same perspective....they go scorched earth.

It's not necessarily a particular party that does this, it's weak minded and insecure people who simply cannot agree to disagree.

I use these examples to remind me who I absolutely have no interest in doing any business deals with......and it's entertaining.
