I am looking for an early season boot. I've been running the Salomon ultra 3s, but want something that is a bit taller. Crap keeps getting in the side of my boot

I picked up a pair of Lowa Zephyr mids (nom Goretex) last year and used them during a brutal August bear pack out. They did the job very well.

Schnees Beartooth here. But whatever boot in warm, a darn merino sock that’s lightweight is key too so ya don’t sweat too much

I just got a pair of kenetrek desert guides excited to try them out. No gortex like most other boots to keep things cooler.

Have the lowa zephyr as well, they’re an awesome boot, just didn’t fit my foot well.

Depending on what you are using them for trail runners might be the best hot weather option with a running type gaiter.

I run the Salomans Ultra 3 as well, but if I need a higher boot I go with my Rocky S2Vs. Durable, comfortable, and light enough. I always wear Darn Tough 100% Merino Wool socks, regardless of the weather. This is also key.
