Looking for some new options for a new boot for early season KS antelope. My only real boot experience is in the Army with various brands (Nike, Rocky, Garmont) as well as a pair of Merrel MOAB 3s. Not the biggest fan of the Merrells because they are kind of klunky and awkward on my foot, but they have served me well.

What do you guys like for a run and gun situation like this?

I would think something light and fast like Kenetrek Bridger High unless you need a waterproof boot. Crispi has a lot of options too

I recommend a narrow boot. You don't want to be catching the edges on tussocks. You want to be able to plant your foot in the clear flat spots. Sounds like you understand this after the MOABS.

I wear tennis shoes on pronghorn hunts. One year I hunted in Crocs and got one. They are not that big.

I've actually worn my old issued boots before chasing antelope, they work. I do like light and pliable shoes/boots for speed goats.

I don’t think I’ve ever worn a “boot” on an antelope hunt. Salomon trail runners for me.

The MOABS are chunkier than I thought they would be.

I'm honestly thinking of doing just this. They are a very known quantity to me at this point.

Heard lots of good things about Salomons. Do you prefer the trail runners over something like the Quest?

A lot of the Crispi options do look promising. Any standout models that you like?

Trail runners for me. If I go to a boot it’s a real boot.
