Walk in cooler smells like chemicals

I am finishing my cooler and it stinks so bad I cant go in. I used great stuff foam and the fumes are impossible to deal with. Has anyone else had this problem?

How long ago did you use the foam?
That stuff gives off a flammable gas when applied.

It's probably still curing and offgassing. Leave the door open for a few days and it should go away.

I have always hear white vinegar and water to cleanse and eliminate smell

I rippped the foam out today. It was not getting better. I will dry a different foam tomorrow and see if it works.

That stuff in an aerosol can that you get at Home Depot? How many cans did you go through and how small is your walk in cooler? I don't think that stuff has much of an R rating either.

I used two cans. The cooler is 5x5. I tried leaving the door open, putting a heater and fan in there, and heating it up to 94*. Nothing helped.

Just an update on the smell. I tore out the great stuff foam and the smell got better. I can smell the polyiso foam, but it's not as bad as the great stuff. I will be painting the foam soon to make it easier to clean and to make it brighter inside, so that should help the smell. Most people can't smell it, but I can.
I don't know if polystyrene smells.
