WA Black Bear Predator Calls?

What are some good options for distress predator calls for black bears? I am currently using Hyndals Fawn Bleat. It’s basically sounds like a screaming baby.

Elk calf on a diaphragm has worked for me before. The only thing seems to be, at least in my experience, they can lose interest pretty quickly so I felt I needed to call more often to keep them coming into range.

I predator call over 100 days a year. The secret to calling black bears is continuous sound. Unlike other predators, when they no longer hear the sound they very quickly lose interest and wander off. You can prove this to yourself sometime when you see a bear at a distance. Start calling and once he's heading your way stop for 1 minute and you will be shocked at how quickly he starts sniffing bushes or rooting around stumps.

I have called in two black bears in the last 3 weeks, and they both came in to Fawn distress which is hardly unusual since fawns were dropping left and right in the last 8 weeks. Good luck.

Thanks! I have a natural tendency to call for 30 seconds or a minute and then stop and listen for something coming through the brush.

Hand calls or electronic?

Ecall, just turn it on and let it play.

Hand calls same thing for at least 15 minutes, come up for air, then continue.

Bears frequently approach slowly so either way, give it at least 20 minutes.

I’ve had great success with bear and cougar, in WA and AK with “different “ sounds. I have used with good results chicken sounds, goat sounds and loud constant kitty cat meowing.

I didn't know where you live, so it was a bit of a question. Ecalls are a No Go here in MT.
