Understood. The title just says "gen" so I wasn't quite sure. This is a gen I not a gen 2
Didn’t catch thatUnderstood. The title just says "gen" so I wasn't quite sure.
I know this place is not a fan of Leupold but what is the data out there on the reliability of this scope so far. Is it passing the drop test ?
Seems like the internals are from the mark 5 which has to be be more durable?
I’ve already got an RA for my Gen 2I had 2 Gen 2's. A 3-18x44 TMOA and a 3-18x50 Firedot.
Both had issues. The 3-18 had misaligned reticle and both turrets would not always line up to the indicated hash mark. I would have to check and maybe maybe not readjust zero.
The firedot out of the box had the internal level misaligned. Reticle was fine but when leveled out the internal level would blink. Same issue with elevation turret not always aligning with the hash marks. After a road trip the zero would be .2 to .4 mils off but after 3 to 4 shots it would settle back in. Like I mentioned above, these issues will probably never be a problem for most hunters shooting under 300 yards. But it is a huge issue when shooting 500 plus.
