Does anyone know if VPA still offers shaft footers? If so where can I get some? I have tried emailing the old Rayzor-VPA contact and didn't get any response. Looking for footers for BEA Rampage 300's (.264 OD). I will go with the Iron Will if the VPA aren't still available, but the price is a bit of sticker shock and the VPA weights fit my spine needs a bit better...

It has been a few years but last time I tried to get some they only had some in stock and weren't making them. If he had the stock they were available, if not you were out of luck.

Tuffhead has come out with some sort of double footer, supposed to be bomb proof and a big improvement from Ethics.

Sorry to come out of nowhere over a year later, but how did you like the rip xvs with the VPA footers?

Im dying to build some, but everyone says they're brittle and it worries me.

I dont see how they could be that bad with a hit insert and a footer. Their walls are just as thick or thicker than Easton Hexx, and I never had trouble with those

I think they make that rip xv work great. I use the hexx and the rip xv interchangeably in several of my bows. I will not shoot them (xv's) at anything harder than a bag target without the footers. With them I haven't broke an arrow that didn't smash a rock first.

Fwiw, the best thing about the hexx is that they don't use the hit insert.

I appreciate you getting back That’s very encouraging.

I was playing around on one of the arrow software programs with a couple of different shafts I considered.

The numbers on that shaft came back damn near perfect for what I was trying to achieve, but everyone online had me nervous about using them because of durability issues

I went ahead and ordered them, brass hits, and VPA footers. Hoping the real world results are as good as they look on paper

I love the hexx, but I’m in between on it. I can’t get enough weight on it without making the spine weak, but It’s not heavy enough for me when spined properly.

I’d give anything for Easton to make a .300 spine in the Hexx

I ran RIP XV's with SS footers this spring and I broke 6 arrows in about 2 months of shooting foam. You hit anything hard and the front will crack, or the shock will blow out the ass. So then I started adding GT nock bushings, then the middle would snap. I didn't like worrying about it so I went back to BEA Rampages and I use collars and the unibushings and these things don't die.
