Vortex Warranty

Just how good is vortex warranty? I was talking to a sales guy at sportsmans warehouse who said their warranty is good as long as they dont discontinue the product. Otherwise, they only give you credit towards the new model. Anyone have any experience in this. I am looking at razor 10x20 or zeiss . Thanks.
 
I have used the warranty with two different items and it was great no questions asked just send it in and repaired. I have never had a discontinued item sent in.
Good luck and I would give vortex a call and see what they say. Obviously they can't replace something they no longer make but I bet they would fix it if it was repairable.
 
Buddy ran his bino over with his truck, replaced no questions asked. Giving you full credit of the old model towards new is a problem??
 
ya i would say thats better then anything else out there. im sure the reason they do that is once a new model comes out guys would be purposly wrecking their old stuff to get new stuff.

i really doubt i will ever buy another optic other then vortex unless i pony up for a swaro.... maybe. ive sent in my rangefinder that i dropped and broke the class on, sent me a new one. pair of talon binos flew of the back of a quad, sent me a new pair. they have earned a customer for life. i will be purchasing a new spotter before summer and it will be a razor. they may not make the "BEST" glass out, but its dang good, especially for the money. and they stand behind their product
 
Pretty sure a3dhunter sent his gen1 razors in and they replaced them with the newest model at no cost to him, maybe he will chime in or send him a pm.
 
i researched into ppls feedback on vortex, and i have yet to find anyone who had a bad experience. I went with them and so far i'm very happy.
