I know they get a lot of grief on this board. I personally won't even consider any of their scopes made in China.

But, they do stand behind their products even when the problem is the customer's fault.

This weekend, I couldn't find the right sized screwdriver and buggered up the screws for inexpensive rings I bought for a 10/22 years ago. I asked to buy the screws, they are sending me new rings.

The warranty and customer service is something that cannot be maligned. They are top tier in that regard.

I just wish that warranty wasn’t something needing to be used so often. While it’s great getting a new item and it happening so easily, it doesn’t do much good when in the middle of hunting season.

I would have no issue running their optics if I believed I could rely on them. Stuff happens sometimes to all gear, but I want the best chance of there being no issues when I need it.

Forums have their picks of products.

Vortex is highly regarded on other sites. I love their products. All my current rifles run vortex scopes. They suit my needs and have never had an issue. Their product is the best bang for your Buck no doubt…But, should I need their warranty, it’s great to know I’ll be taken care of.

I’m in Canada so take this with a grain of salt

10/10. I’ve used the warranty twice and both times it was phenomenal. Less than 2 weeks from the day I shipped my item until I was picking up the replacement and that’s not even nearly the best part.

My first was a vortex razor LH 2-10 I slipped on rocks and smashed the turret up real good.. I sent it back to vortex and since they were phasing out that line they sent me a brand new razor 3-15LHT which was a way superior scope and worth double what I paid for my 2-10.

The second was recently I’ve had a vortex razor 11-33 spotter for a couple years I don’t use it as often as my other gear so it usually stays on a shelf in the basement.. we had a bit of a flood and the scope got submerged and ruined.. sent it in and just over 2 weeks later I received a package..

Again they had upgraded me from the 11-33 mini razor to the brand new 13-39 razor which is way better in every way besides being a bit larger. Not to mention again nearly double the price I paid for my original unit.

I use a vortex scope / optic on every gun I own and I’ve never had one fail on me or not track.

I’ll mention I’ve owned and used leupold VX6HD. Trijicon SRO. Trijicon and leica glass and I’ve still ended up with vortex for all occasions.

I won’t buy anything else at this point, yes I know there is better glass but the razor HD/ Razor UHD is more than good enough for any hunting scenario in North America.

I fell off a mountain hunting, and during the eternal roll, my rifle that was strapped to my pack got banged up pretty good.

A few days after I go back, I wanted to make sure the zero was still good, and it was shoot about a man high at 100y. This is the Vortex HSTLR.

Email Vortex, tell them what happened. And had it shipped out a day later. About 5 days later they emailed me that they couldn’t fix it. Scope tube was bent. They also no longer made this scope, and if I’d be cool with the new HD as a replacement. However, they were back ordered, so if I needed something immediately to get back to hunting, then they’d figure something else out…

I said, I’m good, I have other rifles and scopes. Not worries. They sent me the HD as an upgrade and that’s that. I’d stay it was great.

Side note on the Vortex forums hate….a lot of dudes like to compare the cheapest crappiest Vortex scope to a NF ATACR or things like that. That’s dumb. They are not comparable tiers. Comparing a $400 scope to a $3000 scope is ridiculous.

You never see a RG3 go down anymore than the other scopes in their comparable tier group….and if you take all the top tier scopes and throw them out of a plane at 15k ft….I bet the results will all be the same.

Vortex - the BEST warranty in the optics industry that you WILL need to use!
I currently have 2 broken optics that they repaired and are enroute back to me. That makes 4 in the last 6 months or so. 2 of mine and 2 belonging to my shooting buddies. This has been par for the course with our group and Vortex products. That being said we live in EXTREMELY rough terrain and our gear takes a horrid beating daily. I've even called Vortex and told em that I was a dumba$$ and broke their gear - which is different than their gear failing - and they didn't care. Just mail it to em and they replace it.
