Has anyone checked these out yet? I was looking about picking up either a pair of 15s before my buddies' December sheep hunt. Was mainly looking at the vortex viper 15s but I don't really like the 50mm objective. Then I saw that they had a 56mm vulture. It looks pretty sweet and the price is definitely right.

Anyone have a good story to tell about them?

Outwest, I'm reviewing a pair on the Blog. Here is the initial post:

I've used them a few more hours and am pretty happy with them. They have very fine focus adjustments so you have to get them steady and focused right. Then they're great. I'll have more info in September as I'm taking them on a few hunts.

Thanks, Robby. Really looking into these for a desert sheep hunt this winter.
I know its a stretch because they probably are not really in the same ball park, but how would you compare them to the field of view, (i.e, "Imax vs tunnel") of the 15x Swarovski SLCs?

I wish I could tell you, but I haven't ever used the 15x Swaros. I can't imagine the FOV would be much different given the specs. Definitely not a tunnel. The Swaros will certainly be in a class of their own judging from the dozens of other Swaro products I've used. If you can afford the Swaros, don't hesitate. If you can't, I think you'll be pretty satisfied with these. I just used them this morning between posts and spotted some elk while I was hand holding them. They were not focused right so not a great view. I got them on the tripod, took a few seconds to get the focus right (each diopter focuses separately) then got back on the elk. Very clear and sharply focused. Elk were at 600 yards and I was counting points on the good bull (bull was in the cows already!) easily.

I haven't had any hour-long sessions with them yet, but in the 20-30 minute range, no eyestrain for me.

All in all, they are a good tripod binocular for the money. I'll be using scouting all this month and on a September bowhunt if you can wait. I'll be posting more on the blog about them. Of course you could win them, too.

I'll be in the running when the live hunts go up. Always enjoy reading the blog.

Not gonna afford the swaros and I was dreading the 1500 for the kaibabs. I will have to check these out. Seems like everything vortex makes is pretty solid.

Bulls are mixing in with cows here as well, which is awesome as we have the early September bow hunt.

Thanks for the in-depth reply Robby.
