I'm looking for a new rifle scope for my weatherby vanguard chambered in .308. I had a vortex vanquish on there (yes I know, super cheap scope) but at the time it was all I could afford. It's done the job the last couple years but I've found the eye box to be very picky on it. I lost out on a deer this year trying to find the sweet spot, so I've decided it's time for a new scope. I've got an old Bushnell Elite 3200 that I love but i'd like to keep that on my 25-06. Anyone have any experience with either of these scopes? I know bushnell got a bad rap for cheap glass but from what I've read this new R5 line is supposed to be made in korea with good glass quality. I was looking at a Leupold Vx3-HD, but I really love the bdc type reticles and they only have the leupold with the duplex reticle at my local shop. Any input is much appreciated or if you guys know of any other scopes in this price range +/- $200 cad that would work for me? It will be used for hunting primarily aside from maybe a few outings a year at the range. Where I hunt is mostly open fields with longer shots, sometimes 500 yards or more, although with the 308 I like to keep it under 350 or so. Thanks in advance
