Vortex spotting scopes

I'm planning on getting a new spotting scope. I'm looking between the viper hd 80mm and the razor 65mm. My question is, how does the 65mm with better glass compare to the 80mm of lower quality glass? I know the obvious differences such as size and weight but how do they compare in low light and clarity? Thanks for any input.

Went through the same dilemma you are when I got mine. I went and compared them in low light conditions and found that they are pretty close to the same. I got the Razor 65 to save on weight and size. Clarity was pretty close to the same, the Razor edging the Viper out slightly. Edge to edge was also better on the Razor.

Thanks CorbLand. That's pretty much the same thing I got from Vortex but I just wanted to confirm.
