And any truth to when they are stinging your credit card? I too could get away with it if I didn't have to come clean for 3 months. Just picked up a lifted Sidekick more ideal for the bush than the city streets vs a small commuter car she wanted. I should mind me Ps & Qs for a bit. :)

Well, you're good to go then! They said no charge until the item is shipping, so there are 3 months for fund raising.
 
I talked to them today and my shipping date is May 9th. Don't know how that works considering I was one of the first guys in on this. They did however give me the 10% discount even though my order was placed with the 5% discount.
 
I originally ordered the angled, then called today just for the heck of it to see if they would give me the same price on the straight body scope. The rep put me on hold for 5 minutes and came back and said they would. I was pretty pumped as I preferred the straight over the angled but couldn't pass it up based on the price...and they had the straight in stock. No waiting until May.
 
Bunch of chickens here, wow very surprised.

Well, I pulled the trigger, manned up and bought one. Then again, I'm single so my opinion doesn't count.

If you want to see what its like to be married and buy a scope I could help you out. Just takes a hard kick to your balls and then open your wallet up and buy something else totally ridiculous that costs a little more than the scope. Yep I was too chicken to pull the trigger

Looks like I may be too late to this party. What an incredible deal. Military does get 35 percent off MSRP. I think it was Jason I spoke with from Vortex and thanked him and vortex for the military discount however, and he agreed there are a lot better deals out there just have to find them
 
Did anyone who ordered this actually receive it yet?

My order was placed 2/14. Website said 1-7 days to ship. Called Optics Planet a week later and it is now not shipping until May 10th. Still a good deal, but be wary of Optics Planet. I orders 3 other items with the scope and told them to ship those right away. Well, received 2 out of 3 with the 3rd being the wrong item (not even close to what I ordered). Now it looks like it will take them up to 10 days AFTER they receive the incorrect item back before they will send the correct item. Terrible customer service. Yes it was a great deal, but I really hope I do not have to return it....
