Matt Cashell and myself have the unique opportunity to travel the Vortex Optics headquarters in Wisconsin for a media summit where they show us upcoming products and let us play with them. On day 1, we got a tour of the facility and I’m still amazed how big this place is. I heard a number of 55,000 sf but that seems small. They have 3-4 giant buildings on campus.
We then saw the new products and finished the day off with hands on time on one of the 3 indoor ranges they have. I would love to talk more about the products however you guys will just have to wait. I will say big stuff is inbound.
Day 2 includes classes at vortex edge and I am in the pistol, while Matt is in carbine. I was a little bummed out I wasn’t in the long range class however this pistol class is great! I think I’m going to put a red dot on all of my pistols.
I’ll try to add more pictures later but man this place is amazing and the people here are as well. They put out a great work atmosphere and make every employee feel like family.
