Has anyone ran a lower end vortex scope on a .300 win mag? Wondering if it can hold up to the recoil. Not in a position to drop a lot of cash on a hunting scope right now just looking for something decent. Thanks in advance!

I had a crossfire 2 on a 270 wsm. The parallax adjustment blew out after about 100 rounds... For a similar price buy a swfa and never have to worry about it.

I have to of the Crossfire scoped , the first one is a 4x12x44 I used it on a Ruger 30-06 for 4 years way over 100 rounds and now it is on my sons new Savage 30-06 about 50 round thru that gun still working great. I put a 6x24x50 on a Rem 700 in .300 win and it is rock solid ,the gun and scope shoots sub MOA all day long. Also note that for about 75 bucks you can get a custom turret for it from Kenton industries.

Just my views , I am on a budget with kids private school and now college start next fall.
Cant go wrong with Vortex.....

It would be our pleasure to discuss different options in scopes that would be a good fit for you in a budget minded quality scope

Get a diamondback 3-9x40 refurb on aa optics. Around $100. I have a few that have never lost zero with a lightweight 30-06 and heavy loads, flying in airplanes, etc. just don’t scope yourself, eye relief not as great as a more expensive scope

Get a fixed 6x SWFA and then you don’t have to worry about recoil destroying your cheap optic. There’s one on the sample list for $260 and I’m sure you can find used ones on different forums.
