Vortex Binocular Doubler......Worth It?

In an effort to not have to pack a spotting scope, I have been looking at the Vortex Binocular Doubler. It looks like a great idea but I am seeing mixed results from reviews. Any of you guys out there use this accessory? What are your thoughts?

No experience with any Vortex product, but I know from multiple sources that the Swarovski doubler is not very highly regarded. I would find it hard to believe that Vortex was able to enlist some Chinese mass manufacturer to create a better product than Swaro, so I would skip it. The best option would be to find a retailer that sells it and try it out with your own eyes.

I’ve heard the same thing, that they don’t work that well. If someone could come out with a pair of doublers or triplers that we’re clear, weighed 8-12 oz and could thread into bino objective lenses, they would be worth $2,000 pretty easily.

Did you end up trying the doubler ewade07?
