Not gonna search 62 pages but been eyeing these for a while. Are people typically sizing up or down? I'm a half size and feet on the more narrow side.

To add. I hike a lot of very steep mountains, sometimes having to sit down and scoot on my butt to get down from setting steel targets up canyon walls.

I HATE when my toes are jammed into the front of the boot. Sizing up half a size helps with this.

I purchased a pair of the tracker forests and a pair of the magna lites from this website and no issues at all. Had to return the trackers for a different size and they made it easy.

I get same size as my crispis in the tracker forest, up in the regular trackers. I also went up in the winters and tundras for heavy socks. My oldest pair is about to turn 4.

I’ve followed this thread and have a few friends/family who use these boots and love them. I just bought my first pair and am excited to join the club.

Is there any consensus on whether it’s worthwhile to add a rand with aquaseal and if so, the best time to do that (brand new vs broken in). Maybe the answer is only add a rand if they start to leak?

I bought mine from a 3rd party so I gather the warranty is void. Even if it is valid, it sounds like CS can be a nightmare. Given that, I don’t have any issue voiding the warranty with aquaseal.

I’m thinking of copying @HighUintas approach like the boots in these photos. What do those of you with experience think?

I added a rand like the pics both to a well used pair and a brand new pair. Worked great on both. I think I used some rubbing alcohol first to remove some oils so it would stick and both boots the rand is holding up well. I would go for it, but I also don’t think it changes the characteristics that much for water getting in or not.

Now that I have the forest trackers and the winter trackers it does seem like there should be a shoe in the middle that's waterproof but doesn't have lining.

It would make the winter trackers obsolete tho because the liner in the winter trackers doesn't do much and you could just wear another pair of socks if we have a waterproof forest tracker.

I hear you. Good to know about the winter trackers as I've been eyeing them up. I'm also interested in the jungle esc but they don't seem to be too popular on here for some reason.

Can you elaborate on this? I’ve gathered that most people who report leaking think it comes through she stitching that attaches the sole to the upper, and the rand solves that.

I know the leather uppers won’t be “waterproof” but hoping I can stay relatively dry in mud, snow and small puddles/creeks.
