Viper HD 10x42 Bino

I love my Vortex Razor HD 10x42 ..so light weight and compact, perfect for my hunting and target shooting. if I ever able upgrade, it will be to Swarovski ..
I went from Crossfires to the Cabelas Vipers to Swaro SLC's this last year. It's a big jump from the Crossfires to the Vipers in all regards. From Viper to SLC the lowlight, CA, and edge to edge clarity are your biggest gains. Vipers are solid glass for the money.

Yeah I agree! They are worth every penny.

Bought a pair of (newer gen) Viper HD 8x42s at $393 last August and find them to be a good balance of weight, low light performance and FOV for the money.

I got to compare my Cabela's $299 Vipers against the Maven C1 both in 10x42 over the weekend on a spring bear hunt in Idaho. Both binos are amazing regarding the optical quality. To my eyes, the vipers had a slight optical edge over the Mavens regarding clarity. They just seemed to pop a little better and the image quality seemed a little more crisp. My friend who owns the Mavens agreed. That being said, it was a pretty minuscule, and I think it really comes down to the users eyes to determine which is "better". The Mavens have a slightly larger FOV. Weight was about the same. The Vortex pull ahead with the feel of the adjusters and eye cups. The Mavens eye cups feel a little cheesy compared to the Vipers. I like a lot of eye relief with my binos, and the Vipers provide more of that over the Mavens. The Viper eye cups click and stay in place, where as the Mavens felt more like my crossfire eyecups. They both fest very comfortable in my hands.

You can't go wrong with either or.

Check Sierra for the Viper HD and Razor UHD.
Midway USA also have quite a few binos on sale. Recently picked up a demo pair of Razo UHD 8x32 for $770 shipped with the 20% off discount here.

Rokslide gets you a discount at Sierra?

My first pair of good binos were Viper 10x42’s. They worked fine, but I’d also looked through my dad’s pair of older Geovids. So I knew they weren’t too glass

Fortunately I was able to win a pair of Razor UHD 10x42’s. When you use a pair of best quality (saying that with the knowledge UHD’s are not NL quality), you will get spoiled.

The 20% was at Midway - 20MUSA 20% off $49 or more. Have to be logged in for the code to work.
They have demo Zeiss Conquest HD Binoculars 8x 32mm for $600 and the code is valid - bringing the price down to $480.
Hope that helps.

If it were me I would save and get something better. I had those before and I wasn't impressed TBH.

If the Zeiss Conquest are $480 with discount still they are worth the extra cost over the Viper in my opinion.

I get the same thing when I view the individual products, but once I go to the cart, it says that I am not eligible for 20MUSA. Is there an entry path of some sort from RS?

Edit: Same thing reported here https://rokslide.com/forums/threads/midway-usa-promo-codes.398061/post-4082321

Couldn't find the 'promotion rules' alluded to in the cart message, so I called. Turns out this code was emailed to certain customers who had "not made a purchase on their accounts in some time" and only works from those logins.
