Currently rocking a Canon EOS RP camera. Does awesome for what I do when it comes to snowmachining (snowmobiling for you lower 48 folks ;) )hunting, fishing, etc. Does Awesome for the stills or action shots. I have not messed to much with the video features of the camera itself and have read up that its not necessarily great at video.

What I'm looking at is if I should just utilize the capabilities of the Canon RP or get a dedicated video camera for these hunts/ fishing trips/ etc.
-Don't need to do any 4k video. regular 1080 is a ok.
-Low light capabilities
-Hold up to the elements
-Somewhat fast ability to autofocus, we all know how quick somethings happen.

The majority of camcorders are NOT weatherproof unless you go to semi-pro or professional. You can upgrade within Canon to the R, R6 or R5 and all 3 are weatherproof as are most of the lenses made for them. Feel free to call me with any questions.
There are a lot of cameras on the market that can give you what you need, depending on how big a zoom you need
