Anybody see these on YouTube? Thoughts
Thanks for starting the thread Jotis. I do not have an answer for you, regarding the HLR.

I haven’t been in the archery game for too long, so take my opinion for what it is. I started filling tags a few years ago, with a 250$ bear bow I got on Craigslist. Wrong draw length and everything. Incorrect arrow spine, horrible shooting technique etc. This last year I decided to upgrade my bow, quite a bit. I did my research and realized how screwed up I was those first few years launching arrows. I basically needed to get new equipment all the way around. Since my draw weight and draw length puts me in the ~250 spine category, I knew I had to spend the $ on quality arrows. there weren’t many options on the market, and none of them were cheap. After researching plenty online, and with some prior experience, I think I’ve got he best arrows on the market currently. I’m using RIP Elite 250 spine arrows at 9.9 GPI for a practice and elk arrow at 520gr total arrow weight, and a RIP TKO elite in a 250 spine built to ~455gr total arrow weight for mule deer/blacktail. I could change that for the 2025 season, depending on the changes I make to my bow in that upcoming time.

I don’t understand the difference in carbon and the way they weave it for arrows. I saw the UV1K, and never really understood the idea. I guess other than “faster recovery” in air… vs the 3K RIP TKO. I’m sure I’m just not educated enough on this topic, to understand why they charge 220$ for 6 arrows assembled (UV1K). I know perfect assembly and tight tolerances cost $, but didn’t see that value in the UV1K, and I wasn’t going to cough up the $. I recently found the Victory HLR, and I don’t know what to think. I’ve tested victory RIP arrows before and loved them, and I’m sure the HLR is a killer arrow as well. I just have no idea if the 1.5K 90 degree carbon weave on the HLR will actually be tougher and recover quicker in the air, vs. the 3K 45 degree carbon weave on the RIP TKO. I’m 100% positive, my arrow choice will not be the reason I’m successful on a hunt or not. I feel lucky to be getting into the archery game with so many quality products. I’m sure all of these arrows will do an incredible job, if I do my part in putting the arrows where it needs to be.
