I came across a super deal on a couple dozen of these shafts. I know they're heavy [12.7gpi]. What's everyone's experience with them?

Probably because guys are more interested in speed and high FOC. Nothing wrong with those arrows, go shoot em and enjoy them.

I ran xtorsions for 2 years with great results. My finished arrow weight was around 600 grains and it passed through everything with no sign of stopping, granted I'm a 31" draw and 73lbs of draw weight. That weight made my bow extremely quiet but my pin gaps were just a bit big for my taste, so i moved to a 500 ish grain arrow.
Overall a good arrow. Super durable, hard hitting, and made the bow quiet, but eats up a lot of speed.
