I got cut on Friday. The mental aspect was the worst part about it by a long shot. I asked the doc for a Valium for before the procedure and that helped. Pain was not bad but I’ve also been following doctors suggestion of staying off my feet and not doing much.

If we had 3 under 3 like ours that is almost 3.....I'd probably play in traffic. I love that little shit to death and he's awesome but that dude does not listen to I asked my wife the other day if her first two acted like this and my dear mother chimed in "no baby probably not but you sure did" I now know why my daddy drank so much.

I read through these comments beforehand and just wanted to add my two cents to the nervous guys out there. Was a fricken breeze. Way better than expected. Went out on a date night after with my wife and got lucky the next morning. Nothing to worry about!

Had mine done today about noon. Was quite painful on the right side, but was still bare able. Barely. Now it just feels real sore and kick i got kicked in the nuts by a horse! But honestly so far it's not as bad as I imagined.

I don't mean to scare you buuuuut....

The year was 2020 I believe... Went in for the procedure, not bad really. Although when he was cauterizing me I felt almost a SHOCK sensation. "Woops" he said, "must not be fully numb." Then proceeds to say, "you're a bleeder". I didn't think much of it. Took just a few minutes and I was headed home, sitting on an ice pack. I laid on the couch for the rest of the afternoon into the evening before I decided to go to bed.

I went to use the restroom and looked down and thought to myself, "damn, that's a lot of swelling" Next morning I woke up and couldn't walk unless I was holding the "boys" up with my hand. I went to the bathroom, pulled down my drawers and couldn't help but to laugh out loud. I called for my wife to come look and she couldn't help but to laugh as well. I had excessive swelling and bruising. So much swelling that it looked like I had a FUPA. Swelling in ALL areas down there... not only the berries but also the twig. Sounds kinda cool right? Wrong, it wasn't consistent smooth swelling but two, not quite ping pong ball size knots coming off of it on different locations. Jock strap didn't help... still not enough support plus from all the swelling, it all wouldn't fit anyways!

I called the place where I got the procedure and they said, oh, it's normal, just keep icing it and give it a little time. Well a week goes by and I can't stand upright without holding my junkpile as the weight was painful to just let it free fall. The bruising was just as bad as the swelling. Everything was a deep purple color. I wish I would have taken pictures LOL! Finally I couldn't take it and called the Doc again and explained what was going on. He told me to come in and he'd take a look at it and I could tell by the tone of his voice, he didn't fully understand what I had going on.

I came limping in and when I dropped my drawers (holding on to everything, still not able to let them free fall) He knew right away things weren't what they were supposed to be. I guess I had formed a hematoma and he said he'd have to go back in and remove it. At that point I didn't care what they had to do, I just wanted it fixed!

I went in for surgery, again, and everything went smooth. When I came to, he told me he removed 2 handfuls of "currant jelly" from my scrotum. I can't even tell you how relieved I felt. The swelling SLOWLY went away after a few weeks and things are pretty much back to normal again.

I will say for a few years, I had a uncomfortable sensation down there that would come and go. It wasn't really painful just a weird sensation. It still bothers me when my youngest daughter sits on my lap for long periods of time but it is what it is.

I know that my case is not normal and I don't mean to scare anyone but that's how my nut cut went...

I’ll go first. My wife (35) just had her IUD removed. I need to get snipped so I can commence to shoot up the club as my pull out game is weak and with no goalie in place, I don’t need to have another kid at my age. I am 40 (almost 41) and too old for that.

I was told that they don’t put you under for the procedure. Is this true? How bad is it? What’s the recovery like? I was also told that the first “eruption” may be bloody. Don’t know if my buddy is messing with me, so thought I should ask the masses.

You will feel that right side every so often. My left side hurt when the doc tugged on the tube because I wasn’t completely numb on that side…. That will make your toes curl! What’s weird is that the left side really hurt the last two times I had a kidney stone in the left kidney. Pain in the back and in the front at the same time sucks!

Is there something about the R side? That's the side i still feel pressure in? I guess that's how to describe it. Today has been OK, as the day went on and I moved around a lot it has been pretty noticeable

No, it’s just the side that hurt more. Mine was the left side I feel once in a while. Sometimes when the weather changes I’ll have some pain on the left and sometimes it will hurt for a few days for no reason I can explain.

Certainly a simple procedure, but NEVER without risk. That was a real hiccup. Glad you're feeling better.

A semen analysis is usually recommended 2-3 months after the procedure…. Just to be sure!

I was scheduled to get one back in December I believe. My wife and I are having another baby and at one of the checkups we told the doc I was getting one and he said he wouldnt get the snip, that he would just tie the ladies tubes when he's in there for the C section. I was fully prepared to get it done, but I'm not gonna lie, I was glad to hear him say I shouldnt lol.

Approaching 2 years since the procedure, still have one nut that is multiples larger than it was prior. No pain, just makes adjusting a more frequent occurrence.
