Vasectomy

Not that bad. Did mine during football season. Sit in recliner with a cold one on your crotch. Rotate as necessary. Cold crotching.

Not bad at all. Got mine done on a Friday after work . I was sore that night just went to bed early . Was told to lay low for a week and light duty on the second week. The next day I was stacking concrete forms and was not in pain . I wondered if the guy even did it ?! But the follow up sample test 2 months later confirmed Indeed it worked . Really it’s not bad .

Got snipped 6 days ago. Went to a specialist and “no-scalpel” method.
Procedure went good as I could expect, he did mention my left nut was hiding in the back 40.
Recovery hasent been as rosie as the doc explained it to be.
Left nut is still tender and sensitive. Bruising of the sac is all time.
Only have a backpack elk hunt 7 days from now…

Cut it pretty close to your trip. My no-scalpel recovery was also rough. Took probably 6 weeks to not have pain thanks to a nice contusion that formed. All good now though. Second week was absolutely brutal

Yeah, like any trusting idiot. I did mention that to them before scheduling. The doc reassured me I would be fine… Fine for him collecting my $$$. I’m pretty sure I have garmuloma on my left side.
Standing/walking is 80% okay, just have to walk bow legged at some points and there is a lot of adjustments. The transition from sitting to standing is the real discomfort.

Mine was downright painful to walk/sit/lay down for a couple weeks. Lots of bruising and the hematoma was quite large. That was back in February. All good now though

Rock the jock strap it helps

It doesn't sound like the no-scalpel method is all that great. I had it the old fashion way - tender for a few days was about it.

I had a great experience with the no scalpel method from Dr. Tonozzi in Colorado. Only slight discomfort for about a day. Felt normal ever since. I’m sure there are plenty of variables that make everyone’s experience different though.

Mine was no problem at all, fast recovery, had it done in my mid-20s after our second son was born. We only wanted two, glad I made the choice, we have several friends who have late teenagers who had a whoops baby and now have 12th graders and babys.

Oh Snap! Just 7 days? Ouch... well.. I'm thinking you'll never do THAT again. Guess best you can do is ice like crazy till then.

If they don't cut you how do they do it ?, clamp you like they do young cattle.
Was kinda curios about that as well.. because the guy who did mine explained WHY they removed a section, then fold the ends back up onto themselves and staple them closed on the two sides. BECAUSE... they've had instances where the cut ends... WITHOUT the section removed in-between, and the ends double-backed and stapled shut... have reached out to one another and re-connected!!!
