VAP Penetrator 2 inserts

Maybe I missed something but does anyone know anything about the new VAP inserts they came out with? Do they go over the arrow?

I think they are in insert/outsert. Still a majority acts as an insert but still slide over the arrow a bit as well.

Yes, just a little lip goes over the shaft to protect it they say. Same relative design as their previous outsert that was easily bent. best option is either their SS insert/outsert at 93 grains or the Firenock outsert that fits around the shaft.

So the new ones are not stainless steel then?

Yes it is aluminum. If they used a 7075 alloy, it would be much stronger.

Well screw that. I will just use the stainless steel ones if I go that route.

I use the stainless steel,but if you hit something hard that outsert can shatter the end of the shaft. The aluminum usually just bends. So,I guess depending on the glue you use you could replace the cheaper alum. Outsert and keep shooting the arrow. I'll stick with the stainless,though.
