For those shooting the Evolution heads, what vanes are you using?

I’ve got my RIP TKO arrows 3 fletched with the Super Sabre Mini.

Will this be enough to steer these? Have not shot them during a hunt but planning to this year.

Thanks.

I’m probably overkill with AAE max stealths but they steer everything and I’m not good enough to see incremental benefits of switching.

I do tend to spend way too much time mind-screwing everything. There's a reason I have way too much gear laying around.

They fly really well as is. My best bet is to put a couple on the arrow and get my butt off the internet and out shooting.

I would love to hear your results as this is a vane I will be testing in the next few weeks. I have used the Bohning heat vanes with excellent results with both the jekyll and hyde as well as multiple other options. This was with 4 fletch configurations, 3 was finicky with fixed blades.

I wish there was something else in the winter that could hold my attention -- but I like to tinker as much as you, I promise. It's fun. Enjoy it. Just giving you my thoughts on the AAE Max Stealth.

Max Stealth is never a wrong answer. Another vane like for whitetails is q2i griff x in 3 inch however if your using the fixed version I would go with something bigger....for the Hydes they shoot very well as least for me. Anther vane I like for elk/moose bear with bigger fixed is the 2.5 iron will vane

Couldn’t agree more. I tell myself I’m going to fly fish all winter. And then I touch the water with bare fingers and go home. 😂

Much appreciated brother

I could see that. The heat is great but really short. Never tried them in a four fletch. I think they are shorter than these ones, so finicky might turn to perfect with the extra height.

Aae max stealth 3 fletch. Probably overkill, but I’ve got Jekyll wides hitting with field points at 40 yards, required zero tuning going from the standard Jekyll.

I actually just set up another bow today, eyeballed the rest and center shot, and the Jekyll wides are damn near hitting with fields points at 30. Those heads are just stupid accurate so I bet you’re more than ok with Hydes and super sabers.
