I'm looking at a mid October trip to Utah for small game/ birds. My preliminaryplan is to wander the Ashley and/ or Wasatch NF. Hunt, fish, hike, ride, wander. I'll be boondocking the entire trip.

Any input on places to see, eat or ride would be greatly appreciated.

If there's another region i should be thinking about for small game, that'd be worth mentioning also.

My familiarity with Utah is heavily filled towards the national parks. Time to wander the rest of the state.
Thanks!

If you’re looking for grouse either would be sufficient. Do you have a good bird dog? This will make a huge difference. I’d bring fishing gear along as well. Lots of places to explore around strawberry and current creek. Decent amounts of birds and roads all throughout the area.

No bird dog. Just me, a quad for exploring and a good pair of boots. I'll definitely be bringing fishing gear. Birds and small game are the focus, with fish and general wandering. If I can find places where the cell signal completely goes to shit, that's even better. 😁
