Utah landowner voucher cow elk

Hi all.
The wife signed off on me going on a last minute(just to shut me up Im sure) cow elk hunt if I can find one. A member here provided me a contact in Oregon Im planning to use next year but Im hoping someone here may have a little direction how to locate a Utah landowner voucher.
I have checked out KSL and tried searching online but not too much that Ive seen as of yet.
Any ideas or information would be greatly appreciated.

Utah only gives depredation tags as far as I know so they are hard to come by. Most landowners dont get many and they know who they will give them too. I would think you would have to know someone or catch someone trying to sell one by luck.

Check Craigslist, I saw some on there awhile back, cow elk hunt with voucher around $1000

Thank you. I called the wildlife departments but they dont offer a list of landowners unfortunately.

If it's like Colorado you have to know the landowner, and get them free, or not know him and pay big prices for them. I'm not fond of the whole system.

Click on a name and scroll down to see tag numbers. I think only a few have private cow elk tags but gives you a start.

I haven't live there in a couple years but KSL classifieds is the place to search. There is one listing right now for the cow voucher but they want $950. That is about 50% more than normal but they probably will drive you in, point out the cows, help with the field dressing and loading into your vehicle.

I saw that one too and thought it was a little high myself. Im trying to find a less expensive one where we could hunt on our own if possible. Although if theres a ton of snow a little help loading in a vehicle doesnt sound too bad either.

Check KSL every week or so. The classified adds only last 30 days so they might need to relist. I expect the one currently listed is a shoot not really a hunt.

There were a few listed on KSL yesterday. Seems they were asking $800 for these up near Cache Valley. To me seems high, but I may be a bit out of touch with those prices.

Daddie63, there are a couple Northern Utah tags on ksl right now. Thought I would let you know just in case. Seem much more reasonably priced than the ones listed early last month.
